Throughout her career, Simone Reitzes has been driven by a commitment to innovation and meaningful change – values that have guided her as she helped establish the Medicus Pension Plan. This initiative, now recognized as a groundbreaking addition to Canada’s retirement system for physicians, stands as a testament to what can be achieved when we challenge the status quo and believe in the power of collective vision.
As head of the Medicus Pension Plan, Reitzes oversees design, strategy, governance, and risk management.
“It is a privilege to lead a pension plan tailored to physicians. I am inspired by the positive impact we’re having on the financial well-being of the growing community of physicians across Canada who have chosen Medicus,” she says.
Reitzes’s approach to leadership is rooted in compassion and empowerment. She strives to create an environment where employees feel proud, excited, and determined to push boundaries, even when the path forward is uncharted.
She holds a Bachelor of Mathematics with a Major in Actuarial Science from the University of Waterloo and a Strategic Analytics Certificate from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University.
