Heather Macartney, CEBS, BBA is a senior benefits consultant with Belmont Health & Wealth. She has built her career around helping people understand the complexities of employee benefits and find practical solutions that work for them.
With more than a decade of industry experience, including 10 years with Canada Life, Macartney now specializes in multi-employer and union benefit plans. She works closely with trustees, unions, employers, insurers, and plan members on everything from plan design and funding to governance and day-to-day challenges.
Macartney enjoys tackling complicated situations, getting to the heart of an issue, and finding ways to make things easier to understand. She isn’t afraid to ask questions, challenge the status quo, or look for a better solution. Her goal is simple: to help make benefit plans work better for the people they serve.
Outside of work, Macartney is a mom of three and a dog owner. She enjoys hiking, skiing, and volunteering and is actively involved in her New Brunswick community. She has also held leadership roles with the Family Resource Centre Saint John.
Whether she’s working with a board of trustees or supporting her community, Macartney brings a practical, collaborative approach and a genuine desire to make a difference.
