George & Bell Consulting is a privately held corporation, wholly owned by its employees, with offices in Vancouver, Edmonton, and Toronto.
The pension, benefits, and investment consulting firm advises boards, committees, and other stakeholders of pension and benefit plans, and other investment entities. Its clients include unions, corporations, endowments, foundations, and Indigenous trusts in both the public and private sectors in Western Canada, Ontario, and the North.
George & Bell is committed to providing locally sourced consulting. Its team’s success is directly tied to client satisfaction, and it is not subject to global companies’ cookie-cutter approach to solving investment challenges.
In today’s environment where large multinational corporations have taken over many firms offering professional advice, clients’ needs often take a backseat to other priorities. George & Bell’s senior employees have worked in these environments and have seen the need for change. The consulting firm meets that need.
Clients are the priority at George & Bell. And the team believes in service-oriented consulting that is responsive, practical, flexible, and cost effective.
“Our philosophy is to be honest, ethical, and transparent with our clients; focus on what’s in their best interest; and help their business thrive”

This modern mindset extends to how Looniewell manages client interactions.
“We don’t hide our commission, our clients know exactly how we’re compensated,” explains Chan. “We strive for same-day response and acknowledgement. Oftentimes we respond and at least acknowledge within an hour.”
As a result, the firm’s client retention is “very high” and a by-product of the trust built upon Looniewell’s methods of operation.
Eager to keep evolving and offering more to the market, Chan is considering expanding beyond consulting services to provide Software as a Service (SaaS) for Total Rewards through platform and analytics.
Chan comments, “Our philosophy is to be honest, ethical, and transparent with our clients; focus on what’s in their best interest; and help their business thrive.”
